| The Poble Espanyol was built in 1929, on the
occasion of the Universal Exposition in Barcelona. It is one of the must-see
places for tourists who want to know Spanish history and culture.
The grounds got their name because it was conceived to show the richness and
variety of Spanish architecture, and inside there are replicas of the
most representative buildings of the Spanish autonomies.
The Tablao de Carmen is situated in a unique environment to get introduced to the atmosphere of flamenco: in the area dedicated to Andalusia, in Calle Arcos. This street is an exact replica of those that exist in Andalusia, the place in Spain with most hours of sunshine: narrow and white for protection from the heat, with a profusion of flowers, railings and arches. |
